Teaching Methodology

Children are the manifestations of love, hope, peace and compassion. Children are transformed into polished, productive, intellectually sharp, highly discipline, socially conscious and responsible individuals to lead a meaningful lives.

To promote and to secure this vast treasure of the knowledge there are about 70 lecturers/ teachers in the teaching faculty of the school. All the teachers are dedicated to the cause of imparting qualitative education in accordance with the prescribed syllabus of CBSE.

The teaching methodology is based on latest knowledge. Besides large airy classrooms, well equipped labs, audio visual facilities, OHP etc are extensively used to provide a good learning experience to the students.

The class rooms have been converted into SMART CLASSROOMS WITH 52 INCHES PLASMA SCREENS: which are connected with the server room which supplies different modules required for different classes to facilitate the students to listen and watch the concepts related to all subjects on screens. These teacher operated comprehensive and attention-grabbing modules are a great aid for them as they are used at the teacher’s discretion at different levels of the topic development. They can use or mute the voice in the computer as per their need in the class for the maximum benefit of the students. It does not only impart the good amount of information but also provides the homely environment which minimizes the feeling of being in a classroom. . Not only this, the teacher has the facility of having online tests in the class.The kids are trained right from class I onwards to get expertise in how to attempt on line tests since all objective types tests including General Knowledhe tests are conducted on line for the students with the perspective of saving man power and inculcating confidence in the students which is utmostly required in this computer – savy era.

Starting from the first step Gian Jyoti Public School emphasises in providing a friendly warm and homely environment to the students. Play way method helps a child to overcome a phobia which the child experiences when he enters the school. The colorful illustrations on the walls transform the classrooms to a child’s dream land starting with colouring and then moving forward with the learning of strokes and then alphabets words and so on renders a helping hand to a child in the first step in the field of education.

Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation introduced by the CBSE is strictly followed in the School since it strongly believes in the overall personality development of the students and this CCE system facilitates the teachers with the criteria to judge the students on the given 9 point grading system. This newly introduced system has come for the rescue of the students since it has saved them from the traditional rat race of scoring marks and marks only without being all rounder.

In primary, middle and senior classes the children are provided with and exciting stretch as for as possible. Various innovative, co-curricular and extracurricular activities are introduced at this level and students are encouraged to explore their creativity and inherit individual talent.

In senior classes the lecture method is adopted with the help of various teaching aids for e.g. 52 inches Plasma Screens, computers, multimedia, OHP, modules, and the practical knowledge to learn with their own experience is catered with the help of labs. Equal emphasis is laid on the discussion method to promote the children’s point of view.
